A New Year’s Eve Wedding Like No Other – A Pink Dream at The Dolder Grand

Some weddings stay with you.Not just because of their beauty, but because they dare to be different.

On December 31st, 2025, I had the pleasure of being part of a truly unforgettable celebration at the iconic Dolder Grand Hotel in Zurich, a winter wedding that redefined elegance with a bold and playful twist: a Pink Wedding inspired by Barbie.

From the very first moment, it was clear that this was not going to be a traditional wedding. The entire space was transformed into a vibrant, immersive world of pink — from the floral installations by Myawina (Basel) to the carefully curated design details that turned every corner into a visual statement. The atmosphere was joyful, expressive, and full of personality.

The two brides, both from the United States, brought a refreshing sense of confidence and individuality to their celebration. Their vision was clear: create an experience that reflects who they are, modern, bold, and unapologetically unique.

And the result? Pure magic.

Where Art Meets Celebration

As a live artist, I always adapt my presence to the concept of the wedding and this evening was no exception.

Dressed in tones that echoed the pink aesthetic, my painting station became part of the overall design, seamlessly blending into the atmosphere while adding a unique artistic dimension.

Throughout the evening, guests were invited to step into my world for a moment.

I photographed those who wished to be illustrated and, right there on site, created live watercolor portraits, delicate, expressive, and personal. Each piece was carefully painted, then elegantly packaged and handed to the guests in beautiful bags.

What I love most about these moments is not just the creation of the artwork, but the reactions.

The surprise. The smiles. The genuine joy of receiving something so personal, created just for them.

The guests were not only entertained, they became part of the art.

A Night That Turned Into a Celebration of Time

As the evening unfolded, the energy in the room grew warmer, more vibrant, more alive.

The Dolder Grand, with its breathtaking views over Zurich and its refined architecture, provided the perfect setting, balancing luxury with a sense of intimacy.

And then, almost suddenly, it was midnight.

Glasses were raised, laughter filled the room, and together we stepped into the new year. A moment of pure connection, between friends, families, and a love that had brought everyone together.

A Collaboration of Visionaries

This extraordinary wedding was brought to life by a team of talented creatives:

Each element worked in harmony to create an experience that felt both curated and effortless.

A New Way to Celebrate Love

This wedding was more than just a celebration, it was an inspiration.

A reminder that weddings don’t have to follow rules. That they can be bold, expressive, colorful, and deeply personal.

And that art can become part of that experience in a meaningful way.

Final Thoughts

For me this evening perfectly captured what Kuenzli Wedding Art is about:

Creating moments that guests don’t just witness, but take home with them.

A live illustration is more than a keepsake. It’s a memory, created in real time.

If you are dreaming of a wedding that stands out, one that tells your story in a unique and artistic way, I would be delighted to bring that vision to life with you.
